The Fat Greek is located a few miles North off of the 10 Freeway in Yucaipa. It is an older building with typical fast food setting. There menu is regular American Burgers, Mexican Fast Food, and "specializing" in Greek food. I had read rave reviews on this place was was really psyched up for the visit, had been waiting long time to give them a try.
I love Greek food and the first thing I order to judge the quality is the famous Gyro Greek sandwich. The Gyro combo is $8.99, it is served with fries and a small soda. The Gyro was large with lots of meat and veggies. The bread was the best part of the sandwich, slightly crispy and fresh. Overall I was disappointed, I had my hopes up for something outstanding. Looking at the Greek Menu it seemed a bit overpriced to me. The food was good but they have better closer to my home-base of Redlands. If I lived near Yucaipa I would visit again, but would not go out of my way for their Greek Gyro.
