Hometown Buffet - Sunday Brunch, Loma Linda

Hometown Buffet
24990 Redlands Blvd
Loma Linda, CA 92354
(909) 796-6588

Hometown Buffet is in a freestanding building near the corner of Anderson. I have been a guest here since the mid-nineties, not much has changed since they opened. I normally will visit once a year, usually the same food items are on display. The food always taste the same, Hometown is very spare with the spices and seasonings. I had out of town guests visiting this weekend, the party included two babies. Decided to have Breakfast at Hometown Buffet, they are kid friendly. With all the other noise going on their screams blended right in with the others.

Eggs Benedict, Hash Browns, Bacon, Enchilada

Empty Food Trays

More empty trays.

Can not keep those trays filled.

Pancakes & Toppings

Salad Bar

Desert Bar, Omelet Bar at same station

Tres Leches Cake & Slim Pickings on the Fruit Bar

We visited on a Sunday morning around 10:30. The crowd was mainly older folks and non English speakers. Hometown was quite busy. It appears they have cut down on staff. In the past during peak periods Hometown had a hostess to seat customers, not this day. Kitchen staff did not appear to be prepared with backup food or runners to keep the food trays full. Food had the same bland taste. You get what you pay for, Breakfast is only $8.09 per adult. At this price I should not complain. I will return someday when I need a place to take noisy kids.
