13 Closing Fresh & Easy Stores List

As part of its fiscal year 2010/11 half-year report yesterday, Tesco announced it is closing 13 Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market stores - six in metropolitan Phoenix, Arizona; six in metro Las Vegas, Nevada; and one unit in Moreno Valley, in Southern California's Inland Empire region.

Tesco's Fresh & Easy, which is headquartered in the Southern California city of El Segundo, is trying to sublease the 13 stores. It will close and board up, which it's calling "mothballing," the 13 grocery markets by November 2. The retailer said yesterday it might reopen some or all of the stores in a few years if conditions warrant.

The Fresh and Easy Company built a store on the corner of Redlands Blvd and Mountain View about two years ago. The store is sitting empty and becoming a blight on the community. I will not do business with any Fresh and Easy until the Loma Linda store is open!
