Goody's Restaurant is located in an industrial area of Colton near the corner of Waterman. It is not much to look at from the outside, it is an old truck stop diner. Last year someone bought Goody's, changed the name and remodeled for a more modern look inside. All they really did was paint, change the decor and put new Naugahyde on the booths. We tried the new place once and were not impressed, we had been fans of the old Goody's. Recently we were surprised to see the old Goody's name back up on the place. Goody's was always a reliable place to go for breakfast, service is OK, food is good and the portions are big. It is now back in the hands of the former owners, looks like they just broke the old original menus out of storage and started where they left off. The 50's feel is gone but still serving a good breakfast. The crowd at Goody's is eclectic, long haul truckers, Sunday bikers and families all mix well together. They have a good Steak and Eggs special at $6.99, the steak was tender and savory. If you are into a good basic, tasty breakfast give Goody's a try.
