Beware Pizza Hut - Scam Artists

Sometimes I just don't feel like going to eat. The only delivery service available is the local pizza joint. I would think that the majority of pizza business is orders to go. There is not a good local pizza place where I live. We do have Papa Johns, Pizza Hut and Domino's for takeout.

I liked Pizza Hut for its online ordering through pizzahut.com. Made many orders from Pizza Hut over the years. I always ordered online because of the convenience of ordering and paying at the same time.

Today I just happened to check my bank account and found I have been receiving a monthly $12.00 charge form "COMPLETE SAVINGS, 800-8261885, CT". Could not remember using the service. I did a google search and found that it is a scam by an Internet marketing company. Apparently if you attempt to take the survey for customer service at pizzahut.com and close it out before it is finished you unwittingly sign up for the Complete Savings Service.

I was never notified that I had signed up for the service and have been paying the $12.00 for at least one year, as far as my online statements go back. The small transaction never caught my eye. I have recently started using Quicken so I finally noticed these charges.

There are all kinds of hits when you goggle "Complete Savings Scam". If it were a legitimate business Complete Savings would have sent an email confirming my membership. The most disappointing thing to learn is that Pizza Hut gave them my credit card information.

I will not be ordering from Pizza Hut in the future. Pizza Hut is complicit in this ripoff and I am sure they are benefiting from having their customers ripped off.

Pizza Hut is a subsidiary of Yum brands who owns A&W, KFC, Taco Bell, etc. My advise is don't be a sucker like me, check your bank statements.

In the meantime it is my firm belief that Pizza Hut is part of the scam. I plan on notifying the Better Business Bureau and as many Consumer Advocates as possible and checking into a class action lawsuit.
